Here at Baron Online, we like to keep a place that's relatively free of rules, but of course, there can not exist a place on the internet with absolutely *no* rules, so as such, the following rules have been put in place:

1. You are basically free to post what you wish, but there are guidelines to this:
   
   
   
   • No illegal content.
     
   • No pornographic material, links or images.
     
   • No racial slurs or other related comments
     
   • Posts must be kept in the forum that they belong in, including spam and flaming.
     
   • Personal information of any kind that is not your own will not be posted for any reason.
     
   
   
2. Administrators and Moderators are here to post and have fun like the rest of you, however, they *will* be treated with respect.
   
3. Gold cannot be traded between two accounts held by the same person, but can be traded between two accounts held by two different people. Don't let me catch you trading to someone else, with the intent of having them trade it back to an alternate account, because then you're *both* screwed.
   
4. Posting websites in Web Addy is fine, however, if it is your *only* reason for signing up at Baron, find another place to do it, this is not an advertising board, this is a discussion board. Spam Can is the exception to this rule only.
   
5. Spam Can is a forum where spam is tolerated. "Spam" is defined as single-word posts, senseless posting (such as posting 'slksjaslg' and calling it a post), or otherwise unconstructive posting, as well as off-topic posting. The occasional spam post outside the Spam Can is acceptable, but if it gets excessive, a punishment may be dealt. Also, Spam Can is *not* a forum where you can circumvent any rules, the rules on this page still apply to the Spam Can.
   
6. Hot Spot is the only forum where outright flaming will be tolerated. Character attacks and downright mean posts outside of Hot Spot can and may result in a warning from a moderator. Free Speech is the idea in Hot Spot, but the first rule regarding post content will still have full effect here.
   
7. Rented Forums may or may not have their own set of rules in addition to these, and you will be expected to follow them to participate in that forum, or the forum's moderator won't hesitate to use his or her warning panel power to punish you.
   
8. Due to the possibility of abuse, mutliple accounts used by the same person are now against the rules. If you are caught with more than one account, you face having both accounts deleted and/or a ban, depending on the frequency of the violations.
   
9. Signatures will be limited to 500 pixels in height, as seen by a 1024x768 screen resolution.
   

This rule list may be updated at any time, with or without notice, but additions will be noted in red text, and subtractions in grey text. Also, any administrator's ruling takes precedence over any rule set forth at any time.
